Do you want to learn to play traditional Irish music in an authentic way but struggle with books or youtube "tutorials"?

I currently have vacancies for tin whistle and flute students of all ages.  I live in South East London and teach at my home although I would be prepared to travel at an extra cost.  My current rate is £25 per hour.

 

It is also possible to receive lessons via Skype.  All you need is a webcam and a broadband connection and you can learn to play traditional Irish music on tin whistle and/or flute.

 

I am an advocate of life-long learning and have successfully taught people who thought that they were too old to learn and even some who thought they were tone-deaf!  I adapt my teachng methods to suit the individual and you will learn much more than you can learn from books or videos.  There are many teachers who can teach you the techniques, many more who merely teach tunes.  This is only the beginning and few teachers go beyond this to cover what I consider to be the more important aspects, namely how to understand and express the music.
